Crafti is a 3D design app built around real parts: lumber, pipe and fittings, electrical boxes, 80/20 framing, fasteners and thousands more. Every part in Crafti has connection points, and to know what fits what, we have to know what each connection really is. This guide is the reference we built for that work, opened up for anyone who builds things.
How it's made
Each entry starts from the connections we meet while adding real parts to the Crafti catalog. For each one, we research what it is, what it mates with, the sizes it comes in, the standards that define it, and how to tell it apart from look-alikes, using manufacturer documentation, published standards and trade references. The research is AI-assisted. The Crafti team organises the results, merges duplicates and checks entries as they are published.
The illustrations
The drawings are Crafti's own illustrations, made to show the connection's shape and features clearly. They are not product photos, so the details of a particular brand's part can differ.
Use it as a guide, not a specification
Always check the manufacturer's specifications and local codes before you buy, cut or connect anything, especially for gas, electrical and pressurised plumbing work.
