You can download any design you're working on as a 3D file, to 3D print it, open it in another 3D program or show it on the web.
Where the Export button is
- Open your design and sign in. The design needs at least one part.
- Hover over Export in the top bar. A list of formats opens.
- Click STL, OBJ, GLB or GLTF. Your browser downloads the file.
On a phone, or when the window is too narrow for every button, Export moves into the More ▾ menu: open More ▾, then Export, and pick the format there.
On a computer you can also press Ctrl+Shift+D (⌘+Shift+D on a Mac) to download the design as glTF.
Which format to pick
- STL: for 3D printing. Open it in your slicer (Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio and the like). It holds the shape only, without colours.
- OBJ: for most 3D programs, such as Blender, SketchUp and Fusion. It holds the shape only, without colours.
- GLB: one file with the shape and its colours. Use it for 3D viewers, websites and AR.
- glTF: the same as GLB, saved as a readable text file (
.gltf). Mostly useful for developers.
The downloaded file
The file is named scene with the format's extension, for example scene.stl, so rename it if you export more than one design.
Who can export
Exporting is part of Crafti Pro. On a free account, choosing a format shows the option to upgrade instead of downloading the file. If you're signed out, the Export button asks you to sign in first.
To export a design someone else made, you need to be allowed to copy it. If you aren't, Crafti tells you so instead of downloading.
Ready to try it?
Crafti runs in your browser on your phone or computer.
