How it connects
The upper flange is fastened to wall studs with screws driven through the recessed horizontal channel; the bottom rebate of the subsequent slat slides over and down onto this upper rebate, interlocking and concealing the fastener heads.
Male and female halves
Female (receiving channel/groove profile along the top edge of the slat panel, mating with the male downward-hooking rebate on the bottom edge of the panel installed above it).
Usually connects to
- Matching lower tongue/rebate on the next Proslat PVC panel
- Compatible Proslat top/J-trim
- Wall studs/drywall through concealed #8 pan-head mounting screws
Common sizes
- Panels are 4 ft (48 in) or 8 ft (96 in) long, about 5-3/4 in (146 mm) overall height, 4-3/4 in (121 mm) installed reveal and 5/8 in (16 mm) profile depth.

- Proslat Classic PVC Slatwall (standard PVC extrusion)
- Proslat PROCORE / PROCORE+ Slatwall (aluminum-reinforced profile; incompatible interlock dimensions)
- Proslat PROCORE PVC slatwall (incompatible profile)
How to recognise it
Recognizable as the stepped upper profile of an extruded PVC slat featuring a recessed horizontal ledge for screw attachment and a rear vertical receiving lip designed to receive the downward-projecting lip of the next panel.
Often confused with
| Confused with | How to tell them apart |
|---|---|
| Proslat Slatwall Accessory Hook Channel | The accessory hook channel is the visible horizontal front slot where storage hooks and baskets insert, whereas the upper rebate female profile is the hidden top-edge interlock and screw flange that joins adjacent wall panels together. |
| Standard MDF Slatwall T-slot | Standard 3-inch on-center MDF slatwall uses continuous routed T-slots in solid sheet boards rather than discrete hollow PVC extruded interlocking slats. |
| Standard T-channel retail slatwall (MDF) | Retail MDF slatwall is typically one solid sheet with routed slots, whereas Proslat consists of individual interlocking hollow-back PVC panels with screw-concealing joints. |
| Proslat PROCORE slatwall interlock | Classic PVC and PROCORE lines have differing extrusion cross-sections and cannot interlock with one another. |

Good to know
Proslat Classic PVC panels do not interlock with PROCORE or Aluminum Proslat panels due to extrusion profile differences.
